Value Add Services - Buffer

Job Summary:

As a Value-Add Service Team Member in the Buffing Room, you will play a critical role in preparing electronic devices—primarily phones and watches—for inventory. This includes performing detailed buffing and cosmetic finishing to ensure all products meet quality standards before being sold to our customers. This is a hands-on warehouse position that requires standing for extended periods and lifting devices and trays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Device Buffing & Cosmetic Preparation:Use buffing tools and materials to remove surface scratches, clean, and polish devices (phones, etc.) according to quality standards. 
  • Inventory Readiness:Ensure each device is visually presentable and properly prepared for inventory intake and resale.
  • Quality Control:Identify and flag any devices that do not meet cosmetic or functional standards. Maintain consistency and attention to detail with every unit.
  • Workflow Efficiency:Meet daily output goals while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe buffing station.
  • Team Collaboration:Work closely with warehouse teams to ensure timely flow of devices through the value-add process.
  • Maintenance:Assist in the basic upkeep of buffing equipment and supplies.

Physical & Work Requirements:

  • Ability to stand on your feet for 8+ hours per shift.
  • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and handling small tools.
  • Ability to lift and move trays of devices (up to 40 lbs) throughout the shift.
  • Work in a warehouse setting that may include varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Must wear appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, etc.) as required.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in warehouse, assembly line, or value-add processing is a plus—but not required.
  • Good eye for detail and commitment to quality.
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to follow directions.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
